CN23 (short for Culture and News 23 ) is an Argentinean subscription television channel on religion. It was founded in 2010 by businessman Sergio Szpolski , for Grupo Veintitrés. The signal was acquired on November 1, 2019 by the Brazilian Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, broadcasting 24-hour religious programming also in duplex with 360 TV. It began broadcasting on May 10, 2010 with the conduction of Pablo Marcovsky and Connie Darchez. It was founded by businessman Sergio Szpolski and was part of Grupo Veintitrés, which, among other media, also contained the news portal Infonews, the newspaper Tiempo Argentino and radio América (AM 1190) . In February 2011, the businessman Matías Garfunkel joined the Group with 50%. Since its inception, it has undergone a continuous renewal of its image, both in the graphics, the studio and the logo of the channel. It transmitted from the Palermo neighborhood, and has a large infrastructure, state-of-the-art equipment and high-tech studios. It also has several phones to broadcast live. On February 10, 2016, it was sold to the station to Grupo Indalo (Actual Grupo Ceibo) together with the newspaper El Argentino and 50% of radio Vorterix , through an exchange of shares with the previous shareholders of these companies that passed to have a minority in Indalo Media that maintains the majority, retaining more than 90% of the shares and therefore maintaining majority control. On August 29, 2016, the channel relaunched its corporate image and premiered new programming, as well as the start of broadcasts from the Ideas del Sur study center and with the theme of its programming more focused on the province of Buenos Aires. Due to the financial crisis that the channel suffered, and the low audience, on August 1, 2017 it stopped broadcasting news and announced its closure as a news channel to broadcast canned programming from other channels, after the television station announced the voluntary withdrawal from your journalistic team. On November 1, 2019, the programming was transferred to the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God .
